A feature for my favourite artists of deviantART (traditional, digital and photography). It was very difficult to decide which deviants to chose, but in the end I did it. Some of my criteria were: Very good quality & technique, the subject (characters from movies or tv shows I like, nature,...), activity (the deviant still uploads more or less regularly, so they're fun to watch), the question if I would probably fav the entire gallery and so on.
I prefer traditional art (especially realism), so most of my favourite deviants are traditional artists. I hope you enjoy this small selection! There are so many artists that I didn't mention, because if I would've put everyone in this journal it would've been very, very long and crowded.

Featured artists

1. DavidDeb (traditional art)
My favourite artist of dA. There are so many fan arts from many of my favourite movies and tv shows and his style is just amazing. I love the mixed media technique (great choice of colours and contrast) and the fact that most of these artworks are in sketch card size (in my opinion then it becomes more difficult to match the likeness, but it seems like that he can never fail).

2. Leonidafremov (traditional art)
I really love his unique painting style with all these amazing colours. Someday I’ll definitely buy one of his paintings or at least a few prints for my wall.

3. AmBr0 (traditional art)
A deviant with great photorealistic traditional drawings (graphite and colored pencil). I especially like his nature related drawings and it’s also always very interesting and fascinating to watch his time-lapse videos.

4. Cataclysm-X (traditional art)
Nicolien is finally back and has a fantastic traditional gallery with amazing drawings. It’s always very inspiring to see her creations (for example miniature drawings or combination of graphite pencil / colored pencil).

5. Trichardsen (photography)
A photographer with amazing pictures of landscapes and natural spectacles (for example northern lights or halos). For me the highlight of his gallery are definitely all the amazing photos of northern lights / aurora borealis. They just look like they’re out of this world (but I hope to experience them one day by myself).

6. GreeGW (traditional art)
GreeGW has a gallery with amazing watercolor paintings. His technique is amazing and he’s great at capturing light and the atmosphere of a scenery. I could also imagine to put some of these amazing pictures on a wall to look at them for hours.

7. Cryptid-Creations (digital art)
Every day this deviant uploads a digital painting (original art, fan art or other creative or funny concepts). She’s very much fun to watch and her deviations make me smile every day for sure!

8. marcellobarenghi (traditional art)
Marcello Barenghi is amazing at drawing traditional photorealistic drawings. Some of his still life deviations just look like photos. It’s impressive, because he can draw his own money!

9. thrumyeye (photography)
A photographer with a stunning nature related gallery. She has many beautiful photos of cute animals, macros and much more to discover. (Bonus points from a carnivorous plant lover for the Drosera rotundifolia macro.)

10. Sadness40 (traditional art)
This deviant has great (colored pencil and also graphite pencil) drawings in her gallery. Most of her deviations look like photos, because she shows much patience and dedication for small and numerous details.
