Description
Inverted colored/colour pencil drawing of a tuberous sundew (Drosera aff. pallida - a carnivorous plant from Australia). At the bottom is the drawing how it looks on paper and at the top is the inverted picture (negative colours in Photoshop). I just love this effect so I really had to do another one with this drawing technique.
This drawing is dedicated to the 3 brave deviants who voted for more carnivorous plants drawings in my first poll and for all the other "Drosera people"!
Reference was a photo I've found and wanted to draw many years ago... I can't remember who took this photo, but hopefully I'll find out soon. I inverted the colours of the reference picture (= negative) in Photoshop before I started to draw.
Paper DIN A4 190g/m², Faber-Castell Polychromos artists' colour pencils, time: 4,5 hours

Other inverted drawings and more carnivorous plants:

wow that's some good understanding of how negative colors work.
